Dry eye syndrome

Dry eye syndrome is caused by your eye not being able to produce enough tears or natural oils to keep the eye moist. Dry eye increases with age and is mainly diagnosed in post-menopausal women.

The most common side effect of dry eye are watery eyes as the tears are not able to stay on the surface of the eye, sensitive to light, redness and a sore or gritty sensation.
